Client Focus
While I serve various clients, the folks who typically find my services the most valuable are…
- Working Professionals
- Faith-based Individuals/Families
- Near or Current Retirees
- Current or Former Educators
For many of my clients, faith is integral to their lives. Still, regardless of their faith background or season of life, clients usually seek me out to delegate the stress and headache that generally come with managing their financial planning and investment needs.
Professional Experience – Fielding Elseman
I joined the SageOak® team in 2025 after serving as a teacher, coach, and high school principal in Jenks and Pryor Public Schools for over a decade.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Northeastern State University (Tahlequah, OK), a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (Weatherford, OK), and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Oklahoma (Norman, OK). Additionally, in 2021, I was honored to be named the Oklahoma Assistant Principal of the Year by the Oklahoma Association of Secondary School Principals.
Since transitioning to the advisory industry, I have passed the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination (Series 65) and I’m actively working towards the experience and educational requirements needed to obtain the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, Chartered Financial Consultant® certification, and Certified Kingdom Advisor® designation.
My career in public education was rooted in servant leadership—helping students, teachers, and families reach their goals and building systems that allowed entire learning communities to thrive. That passion for guiding others and building strong, sustainable plans has shaped my transition into financial advising.
My path into financial advising was deeply personal. Early in our marriage, my wife and I went through the challenging journey of getting out of debt. That process shaped us in powerful ways, forging our relationship, deepening our faith and dependence on God, and teaching us the value of true financial freedom and peace.
That experience planted the seeds for a calling: to help others experience that same freedom.
At SageOak®, I bring the same heart for service and strategic thinking that defined my time in education. Like education, being a good financial advisor is about listening well, building trust, and empowering people to achieve their goals confidently and clearly.
I have seen that wisely stewarding the resources God has entrusted us is not just wise financial practice—it’s a vital part of our discipleship. Good stewardship allows us to put our hope in Christ, bless our families, and contribute to human flourishing.
Personal Background – Fielding Elseman
My most excellent work and greatest blessing come from being a husband to my wife, Emily, and a father to our five children: Fitzgerald, Ellivia, Finley, Emogen, and Freya. We homeschool our children, and our home is always full of learning, curiosity, and joyful noise!
I was born in Tulsa and have spent most of my life in northeastern Oklahoma. I also spent a few years in southern Texas and southern Kansas.
Emily and I have lived in the Tulsa area since 2009 and currently live in midtown Tulsa. We’re deeply rooted in our church community at Grace and Peace Presbyterian Church (PCA).
In my free time, I enjoy any excuse to get outside in God’s creation—whether hiking, exercising, or camping. I’m also an avid reader, especially drawn to books on history, theology, and American literature. Time with my family, time in nature, and time spent learning both refresh and ground me. These things help me keep up with the demands of being the disciple, husband, and father of five I am called to be!
